An Afternoon with Dan Hinkley:

A Botanical Journey

November 9th, 2:00 pm

Kitsap Golf & Country Club

Co-founder of Heronswood Garden and Windcliff, Kitsap’s own renowned plant expert Dan Hinkley—teacher, writer, speaker, and champion of sustainable horticulture—shares his passion for extraordinary plants and the wonders of the natural world in this special presentation for the Kitsap History Museum. Over the course of his career, Hinkley has traveled the globe in search of rare and unusual species, cultivated some of the most remarkable gardens in the Pacific Northwest, and inspired countless gardeners with his eye for beauty and deep respect for biodiversity. Dan Hinkley: A Botanical Journey will take the audience through his adventures and discoveries, blending fascinating stories and practical insights into why plants matter—not just for our gardens, but for our history, our culture, and our future.

Guests will also enjoy a selection of appetizers as part of this afternoon of inspiration and connection, with proceeds supporting the Kitsap History Museum’s mission to connect our community with each story.
