RESEARCH SERVICES

Did you know we have performed research services for Smithsonian National museums? The Kitsap History Museum maintains a collection of over 40,000 negatives, prints and slides and an extensive collection of documents, records, maps, books and other archival materials. Volunteer staff provide research services for individuals, organizations and businesses seeking information on people, places or events in Kitsap County’s history. 

Kitsap Research Resources

Visit the Kitsap History Museum during open hours to browse materials on Kitsap history. Our public reference library includes publications on Kitsap townships, books on Navy and Ferry history, maps, yearbooks and so much more.

Research Fees

First 30 minutes – $10

Additional Time – $25/hr

High Resolution Image Scan – $10 per image

We cannot guarantee that information will be found on all topics. When staff spend time researching your request and cannot find information, your payment will not be refunded. If upon submittance, staff know that we do not have information on your topic, we will refuse your request for research and refund your payment.
