At the Kitsap History Museum…
Join us for the next History Uncorked—Trash Talk: A History of Waste and Repair in Kitsap—with Caitlin Newman, Program Supervisor at Kitsap County Public Works – Solid Waste. Caitlin will dig into the fascinating (and occasionally funky) history of waste in our region, from early repair-and-reuse culture to the rise of the modern throwaway society. She’ll share stories of how Kitsap residents once stretched the life of everything from clothing to kitchen tools—and offer practical insight on how we can bring some of those resourceful habits back to reduce waste today. It’s going to be trash talk—but in the best way possible.
Thursday, June 26, 7pm.
