Help us Share and Preserve Kitsap County History
The Kitsap County Historical Society is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with the mission to collect, preserve, and share the diverse culture, heritage, and history of Kitsap County for the education and enjoyment of the public. We carry out our mission by operating the Kitsap History Museum and through our events, programs, and exhibits hosted outside of our museum, such as our Rural Heritage Building exhibits during the annual Kitsap County Fair.
The majority of our funding comes from individuals through donation, participation in our events and programs, museum memberships, and museum admissions and historic photograph and museum store sales. We currently receive lodging tax funds which are paid by visitors to hotels, motels, and bed & breakfast inns. We receive no funding from property taxes or general tax revenues.
Your support is vital in helping us continue to collect, preserve, and share the vibrant history of Kitsap County.
